We live in a time of increasing fear and insecurity. The fear and insecurity come from apprehension about the future and the effects of actions by others. The reality is that we do not need to be insecure if in fact we have placed our minds and hearts in the right location. The Lord says 365 times in Scripture that we are not to be afraid but to trust in The Lord. We respond that it is easier said than done but it is a choice just like any other hard choice we make in life be it in trusting our spouse, our child, ourselves to do the right thing. The Lord will never forsake or disappoint and sometimes we simply have to keep repeating that to ourselves to allay fears and apprehensions.
